(CEP News) - Demand for big-ticket items in the U.S. unexpectedly snapped a four-month losing streak in February, according to a government report.
Durable goods orders excluding transportation posted a gain of 3.9% despite forecasts for a 2.0% decline, the Department of Commerce reported Wednesday. Total new orders rose by 3.4% against expectations of a 2.5% decline.
