US ECON: Late March Reuters/Michigan Consumer Sentiment Rises to 57.3
Washington, March 27 - Consumer sentiment as measured by the Reuters/University of Michigan index unexpectedly rose to 57.3 in late March, higher than the early March reading of 56.6, which is where economists expected it to hold. IFR was expecting a bigger-than-expected jump (to 57.6) on the strength of recent Fed and Treasury actions.
