WASHINGTON (AFP) — The United States risks a prolonged economic malaise despite swift efforts to contain the turmoil that has stifled global growth, analysts said Thursday.
Speaking at a forum organized by the International Monetary Fund, economists debated whether America might face the same fate of Japan in the 1990s when the world's second most biggest economy plunged into a "lost decade."
